We are currently offering a great opportunity for an experienced Merchandise Manager to join our team in Dalby. This critical role in the merchandise team requires you to be able to build long lasting partnerships with customers and deliver appropriate advice and services using your specialist knowledge of a variety of agricultural products and supplies.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for:
- The sales of rural merchandise, such as Agricultural chemicals, Seed, Animal health, Animal Management, Fencing, Water equipment and General Merchandise.
- The associated management of this inventory including forecasting and planning, procurement and ordering, sales processing, logistics, stock controls and stocktakes.
- You will work closely with management, agronomists, procurement and other team members to fulfil the needs and requirements of our clients and customers in a proactive and professional capacity.
- The management of the regional storage warehouse facility and associated logistics
- Working alongside supplier representatives to deliver value and solutions to our clients and customers, implementing marketing initiatives, with the aim of growing our business. You will analyse market trends, climatic and seasonable considerations to ensure Nutrien Ag Solutions is first choice service, advice and solutions.
About You:
To be successful, you will have:
- A strong technical background along with experience within pricing and margin management and sales target achievement though effective category development.
- Ideally we are looking for someone with relevant agricultural industry knowledge, and warehouse management experience.
- You will have the ability to network and identify opportunities for business development, this will be key to your success.
- You will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to foster solid long-term relationships with customers and key internal stakeholders together with the ability to drive business outcomes and performance.
- You will also have excellent communication both written and verbal.
- Ideally you will have exposure to SAP ERP, together with strong MS excel for reporting.
- Forklift ticket is required, and a HR licence is advantageous or willingness to obtain.
