Maintenance Lead

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Lead to join our manufacturing team in Laverton North. This new state of the art manufacturing facility will begin commissioning stages in September 2025 and will formally start production in October 2025. You will have full responsibility for the upkeep, repair and preventive maintenance of equipment and systems within Laverton North manufacturing facility. You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth manufacturing processes, contributing to our goal of “Feeding the future.”

Key Responsibilities of the position:

  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment in Laverton North Facility.
  • Assist where required with uninstallation and decommissioning of our Dandenong South Facility once the Laverton North Facility is operational.
  • Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance and servicing of all plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, permits, equipment logs and inventory spare parts.
  • Respond promptly to equipment failures and emergencies, working to restore operations as quickly and safely as possible.
  • Build strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing changes to improve production efficiency, monitoring overall plant OEE, downtimes and reliability.
  • Full management of maintenance workshop, spare & critical part inventories.
  • Manage required contractors for site operations.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Engineering Degree (Mechanical) &/or Fitter & Turner qualification
  • Extensive previous experience in a similar role
  • Forklift Licence & EWPA Licence (Yellow Card)
  • Chemical, hot works or fabrication experience highly advantageous
  • Competent MS user, SAP experience a bonus
  • Exceptional communication and collaborative skills
  • MEX Maintenance Software Experience
