The role includes providing sales and administrative support for our Devonport branch and exceptional customer service to our agricultural clients. What a great place to learn and develop your career!
A typical day may look like:
Reporting to the Merchandise Manager, this role is responsible for providing sales support to our merchandise teams including:
- Performing general administrative tasks including stock control, ordering, receipting, and dispatching of goods
- Assisting customers with pricing and product queries
- Processing counter sales
- Undertaking all tasks and activities in a safe manner in accordance with Company policies and processes
- Maintaining a welcoming, friendly, and well-presented store environment
- Loading and unloading trucks, dispatching, and unpacking orders and deliveries
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in a busy team environment. You will have a passion for agriculture, and a strong sales background.
Ideally you will demonstrate:
- Experience working within a sales environment
- Effective verbal communications skills
- A proactive approach to work and practical organisation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Problem solving skills and empathy to resolve customer issues promptly
- Ability to identify ways to improve internal sales processes
- Sound computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- A current driver’s license is essential and a forklift license would be highly advantageous
