About the opportunity:

We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our Internal Audit team. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Internal Audit, the purpose of this role is to undertake reviews to provide assurance over key business processes, risks and controls. We are looking for a driven and engaging individual who has strong commercial acumen and drive to achieve results.

 

In a typical week you may:

  • Conduct Audits and provide practical and commercial recommendations to allow a greater understanding of options to address root causes of weaknesses in control adequacy or effectiveness
  • Conduct integrated control reviews and identify and promote best practice throughout our organisation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate audit findings, ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Assist in developing risk-based audit plans and contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodologies, tools, and templates
  • Maintaining an awareness of industry trends and best practice
  • As part of this role you will be required to travel to branches within our Retail Network approximately once a month

 

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience conducting end-to-end internal audits, ideally within the retail or agribusiness sector

  • Proven ability to plan and execute internal audit engagements and/or fieldwork
  • Strong understanding of risk management and internal controls
  • Familiarity with risk frameworks and tools, including participating in the risk assessment process and critically analysing risk assessment results to devise targeted mitigation plans
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Strong academic aptitude and well-developed analytical problem-solving skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field
  • CA/CPA qualified and ideally Certified Internal Auditor (or working towards)
