What You'll Do:
The focus of this role is to contribute to the accurate and timely reporting of financial results and to deliver insightful reporting and analysis for management decision making. Your key responsibilities include:
- Month-end & year-end close, P&L analysis and preparation of reporting schedules
- Results analysis and commentary to identify key drivers of business performance.
- Contribute to monthly/quarterly reporting for distribution to management.
- Business partnering - supporting specific areas of the business with reporting and analysis and the preparation of their annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
- Support the company-wide annual budget, quarterly forecast and 5-year plan processes.
- Accounting for profit and loss and balance sheet accounts including preparation of monthly journals and general ledger reconciliations.
- Provide information to assist with completion of compliance requirements and audits.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining internal reporting controls and procedures.
- Support in project work as required, such as business case development in capital planning
- Ad hoc work as directed by management.
What You'll Bring:
We’re looking for someone early in their accounting career with a positive attitude and eagerness to grow. To be successful, you’ll bring previous management or financial accounting experience and possess strong communication skills, enabling you to build impactful relationships across our network. In addition, you will also demonstrate:
- Degree in a business-oriented discipline
- CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounting role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills & attention to detail
- Proficiency in SAP or a comparable ERP tool is essential, with experience in the Microsoft suite, particularly Microsoft Excel, also highly valued.
- Time management skills.
