About the Opportunity:
 

Reporting to the Fixed Assets & Leases manager, the focus of this role will be for you to support the completion of key deliverables related to fixed assets & leases. You will become a subject matter expert within the team and support team members.

In addition, you will:

• Maintain and ensure completeness and accuracy of lease master data in accordance with IFRS 16. 
• Compile monthly reconciliations of lease related balances for the balance sheet.
• Critically analyse and provide commentary on movement in leases (P&L) against actuals and budget/forecast.
• Prepare the cash flow disclosure requirements for leases.
• Prepare and manage year-end reporting and audit requirements.
• Prepare multiple entry consolidated group IFRS16 lease disclosures and addressing any Tax inquiries related to leases.
• Oversee annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
• Monitor and action outstanding lease accounting issues.
• Collaborate closely multiple stakeholders ensuring accurate recording and tracking of leases across the business.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements.
• Assist with Ad hoc reporting & project work as directed by management.

A little about you:

To be successful in this position we are seeking an experienced accounting professional who has had previous experience within an assets & leasing function.
 

In addition, you will:

• Hold a degree in a related discipline.
• Hold a CA or CPA.
• Proven knowledge of accounting standards, both technical & practical implementation within fixed asset and lease accounting (highly desired)
• Proficient on MS Suite (Excel) and a large ERP system (SAP, TM1, PeopleSoft – Desirable)
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Sound organisational skills with the ability to meet conflicting deadlines.
