We are currently seeking an experienced marketer to join our talented and dynamic team in the role of National Marketing Manager - Fertiliser, Ag Chem & Seed.
This exciting and fast paced role, accountable for developing and implementing marketing plans across a portfolio of supplier brands and products along with our own proprietary brands. You will partner with leaders across our Sales, Category, Procurement and Proprietary teams to identify and prioritise high value marketing activities in the Fertiliser, AgChem and Seed. This role is the face of marketing within the category, leveraging your experience and expertise to enable strong commercial outcomes for Nutrien and our suppliers. To be successful in this role, you will be an expert collaborator who doesn’t sweat the small stuff, loves leveraging the diverse skills of your marketing team mates and business subject matter experts, and has the flexibility to adapt plans quickly, due to the dynamic nature of Agriculture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with Procurement Leads, Category Managers and the Marketing Team to develop and execute the Fertiliser, Ag Chem & Seed Marketing plan
- Use data to identify target customers/segments and develop targets for marketing activities, such as product penetration, sales growth, lead generation etc.
- Analyse expected ROI and prioritise marketing activities, ensuring your focus is on the activities that maximise commercial outcomes
- Leverage your knowledge of how and when customers purchase products within the category, develop and deliver marketing media plan, collateral, copy, content, templates and tools in support of marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with the marketing team and agency partners to design and execute marketing campaigns.
- Monitor campaign progress to ensure the commercial objectives are being achieved.
- Ensure all marketing materials are compliant with relevant legislation and laws, and have been through any relevant approval processes
- Report on campaign effectiveness including a balance of marketing and commercial KPIs.
About you:
Key skills (you may not have all these skills, but if you think you’d be great for this role, we’d love to hear from you):
- Demonstrated success in a similar Marketing Manager role with experience in B2B marketing
- Strong understanding of agriculture, experience in the Fertiliser or AgChem category would be highly valued, as would a background in Agronomy
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills with proven track record of managing senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to turn data into insight and insight to actions that can result in a commercial outcome
- The ability to collaborate effectively across a diverse stakeholder group
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a matrix team
- Marketing campaign management experience and an understanding of Digital Marketing
- Previous Retail Marketing experience would be valued – across a large range of SKUs and categories
- Outcome driven and analytical, with a persistent focus on leveraging data & opportunities to drive customer and business value.
- Creative problem solver
- Some experience using MarTech tools, including ad platforms and email marketing tools.
- Experience using modern workplace tools (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Monday, Canva)
