We are currently offering a great opportunity for a driven Merchandise Manager to join our team in Holbrook. This is a key leadership role within the branch, where you will use your agricultural merchandise knowledge to build strong customer relationships, lead retail and inventory performance, and support the ongoing success of the branch. 

 

What You'll Do:

 

  • Lead the merchandise function for the Albury branch, managing sales and inventory across ag chem, fertiliser and a broad range of agricultural merchandise products
  • Work closely with branch leadership, agronomists and sales teams to support retail operations, stock takes, on-farm customer engagement and technical product support
  • Manage stock control and inventory levels to support sales while maintaining stockturn, margin performance and accurate pricing
  • Contribute to branch budgets and help manage the overall commercial performance of the branch, including reporting on performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Support the execution of local merchandising, marketing and promotional campaigns and ensure the store is presented in a safe, clean and professional way
  • Build strong relationships with customers and identify opportunities to grow the branch through quality service, cross-selling and new business development
  • Coach and support team capability across merchandise knowledge, systems, processes and customer service standards

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Experience in merchandise sales, inventory management, pricing and margin management, with the ability to drive category performance and achieve sales targets
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify new business opportunities, build customer relationships and support branch growth
  • Confidence working across budgeting, reporting and operational performance, with the ability to identify issues and take action
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • A solid understanding of safe work practices and compliance requirements, including hazardous products and store operations
  • Ideally, a Certificate in Agriculture or equivalent, exposure to SAP ERP, and strong Microsoft Excel or broader systems capability
  • A current driver’s licence and forklift licence are required, with Agsafe accreditation and a heavy rigid licence highly regarded
