What You'll Do:

We are currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead our very productive West Coast team. 

Reporting to the National Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectations.  In this integral role you will work closely with the operations; logistics and manufacturing teams to ensure product is in place and available to fill forecasted and stock seasonal demand orders.  

 Typical responsibilities include: 

  • Ensuring that production is delivered safely on time, to the agreed quality and budget requirements.
  • Execution of the production schedule in conjunction with the Production Manager.
  • Assessing production and resource requirements for the facility.
  • Ensuring that Health & Safety and Storage regulations are met.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and accountability across the site. 
  • Ensuring the site has a preventative maintenances system on site for all assets.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase site efficiency and reduce cost per litre.
  • Minimising facility downtime to improve operational performance and cost efficiency.
  • Leading the training and development of staff within the facility and ensure compliance with manufacturer and company requirements with hazardous substances.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO 45001 standards, including coordinating and participating in internal and external audits such as ISO certification audits, Global Safety Audit and 3P tolling audits 

What You'll Bring:

To be successful in this role you will need: 

  • Demonstrated success in a similar Manufacturing Manager role.
  • Experience in the AgChem industry and/or knowledge of agricultural products and practices is strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, outstanding communication capabilities, and the ability to influence others at all levels.
  • Previous people management experience coupled with strong leadership skills.
  • Manufacturing scheduling and lean manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong computer skills including the MS suite of products. Previous experience with SAP is an advantage.
