Sales Agronomist – Broadacre

We are currently offering a great opportunity for driven Sales Agronomist to join our team. Any experience level is welcome to apply, and remuneration package will depend on experience. Reporting to the Branch Manager the focus of your role will be to drive sales and customer service outcomes for your Branch.

 

About the opportunity:

 

The Position is open for ‘any level’ from Graduate to Senior Agronomy - from taking over existing client books to entry level Agronomy.

  • You will work with current in-house Senior Agronomists
  • You will provide agronomic and technical support to farmers and producers in the region together with product sales both in store and on farm, in line with company sales and strategic objectives.
  • You will build solid and long-term client relationships; you will develop a strong understanding of the clients’ business goals and share technical and market information to enable clients to improve the performance of their farming enterprises.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers whilst targeting new clients through the provision of superior sales and agronomic input and consulting on the latest plant production practices together with running and coordinating supplier information forums and farmer meetings, positioning yourself as the go to subject matter expert in the region for broadacre agronomic inputs and other advice. 

 

About You:

We are interested in Sales Agronomists at any level – no field experience to Senior level. Ideally you will have:

  • An understanding of the products, seasonal timings and general requirements of rural producers. 
  • You will have sound customer service, organisational, administrative and computing skills, complemented by excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • A tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field
  • A current driver’s license is essential
  • Your experience in an agronomic advisory role related to agricultural chemicals and fertiliser will be an advantage in securing one of these roles.
