Sales Agronomy

We are currently offering a great opportunity for a Sales Agronomist to join our team in Nyngan. We would consider someone who has recently completed their final year of studies with a relevant degree in Diploma in Agriculture, Ag Science, or a relevant field.

Situated in central NSW, Nyngan is a town built on agriculture and is situated on the edge of the Bogan River. Nyngan is an ideal regional location that provides you access to a great range of services including an established network of medical services and amenities, educational facilities and an impressive selection of entertainment options.

About the opportunity:

Reporting into the Branch Manager and joining a high-performing and passionate team. You will provide agronomic and technical support to our farmers and producers in the region, with product sales both in store and on farm. Building solid and long-term client relationships, you will develop a strong understanding of the clients’ business goals and share technical and market information to enable clients to improve the performance and sustainability of their farming enterprises. 

You will support in maintaining relationships with the healthy list of existing customers, with room to target new broadacre clients through the provision of superior sales and agronomic input.

About You:

To be successful you will have a relevant degree and a passion for the Australian agriculture industry.

In addition, you will:

• Demonstrate a willingness to learn, a proactive approach, strong communication skills and a passion for agriculture.
• Sound customer service, organisational, administrative and computing skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Demonstrated experience in understanding of the sales process and strong sales activity and call cycle management. 
• A tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field and a current driver’s license is essential.
