We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to lead the delivery of accurate, compliant, and timely payroll for over 4,000 employees across Australia. This is a key leadership role where you’ll drive operational excellence while supporting the people who keep Australian agriculture moving.

What You'll Do:
Reporting to the Director of Global Payroll, who resides in Canada, you will lead a national payroll function, ensuring strong governance, seamless delivery, and a high-quality employee experience. You’ll work closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to ensure payroll operations support both compliance requirements and the evolving needs of the business.

Responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing payroll team across Australia
- Ensure end-to-end payroll is delivered accurately, on time, and in line with regulatory requirements
- Maintain strong governance through effective controls, documentation, and audit readiness
- Oversee payroll compliance across tax, superannuation, and employment legislation
- Manage payroll approvals and resolve complex issues with integrity and attention to detail
- Partner with HR, Finance, and business leaders to deliver aligned and efficient outcomes
- Lead year-end processes, audits, and general ledger reconciliations
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance service delivery
- Contribute to global payroll alignment through standardisation and best practice adoption
What You'll Bring:
- Significant relevant experience as a Payroll Manager within a large multi-facetted organisation
- A relevant payroll certification
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Proven leadership capability, with experience building and developing engaged teams
- Experience working with large ERP payroll systems (SAP ECP, SuccessFactors will be considered an asset)
- Advanced Excel and reporting capability
- A track record of improving processes and driving efficiency in complex environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across all levels
- High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to manage competing priorities
