What You'll Do:

 

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role plays a key part in the smooth operation of our livestock sales and branch administration. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Processing Livestock sales; predominantly looking after Saleyard Sales twice weekly, private sales, other agent sales and clearing sales.
  • Attending sale days when required both at the saleyards and on farm at Stud Sales. 
  • Provide professional and timely customer service to existing and prospective clients.
  • Assist in managing vendor and purchaser accounts relevant to all Livestock transactions.
  • Performing branch administrative tasks including accounts payable, expenses, banking, mail distribution and general office duties.
  • Assist in managing vendor and purchaser accounts including reconciliation and debt collection
  • This role includes a rotating Saturday roster (one Saturday in every three months).

  • Previous experience in an administrative or team support role
  • A proactive approach and strong organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Clear and confident verbal communication skills, with the ability to build long term customer relationships
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer focused mindset
  • Livestock knowledge (cattle and/or sheep) - advantageous but not essential
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify better ways of working
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook (SAP experience desirable, but training provided)
  • The ability to work independently while also being a supportive team player
