About the Opportunity:
We are currently offering a rewarding opportunity for an initiative-taking and detail-oriented Water Broker to join our Riverina/Coleambally team. Reporting to the General Manager of Ruralco Water, your attention will be to develop strong relationships with our clients with a focus on identifying new business.
Key Responsibilities of the position:
- Proactively contact customers to discuss and assist with the development of a water strategy for their business.
- In conjunction with the Marketing Department, develop and execute a marketing plan for the business in Riverina/Coleambally. This is likely to include sourcing and cleansing customer lists, presentations to growers at events, engagement with industry and referral partners.
- Maintain contact with customers throughout the trade process and assist with any issues to ensure trades complete smoothly and efficiently.
- Manage the relationship with key stakeholders including Govt Water Authorities, irrigator groups and other Nutrien business units.
You will demonstrate:
- Agricultural background, with an understanding of the water market preferred
- Exceptional time management with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- A high level of personalised customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe applications.
- Effective written & verbal communication skills to build solid long-term relationships
- A proactive approach to work and practical organisation skills.
- A current driver’s license is essential.
