Reporting to the Division General Manager, the Proprietary Products Representative is accountable for implementing and supporting sales and sales programs of our propriety offerings to help drive financial growth.


What you will do:


  • Execute work the Nutrien Way – engaging in corporate programs and practices to bring our Culture of Care to life
  • Build positive relationships to impact and influence the success of the product portfolio
  • Manage customer set-up for approved credit and collection of key accounts
  • Achieve sales and margin targets for the proprietary portfolios
  • Support the Retail team to grow the seed line within the Proven seed portfolio and key products with the LPI offering
  • Collaborate with Proven and LPI leadership to execute our strategic technical and marketing efforts
  • Collaborate in the coordination of all Proven and LPI product positioning communication to the Division leadership, sales staff, and customers
  • Collaborate to identify and execute on growth opportunities for the proprietary portfolios
  • Develop, implement, and manage territory sales strategies – ensuring overall alignment with corporate objectives for the Proven Seed, LPI, IPCO, exclusive supplier products, and Echelon portfolios
  • Investigate and evaluate product feedback, including cost analysis and action planning
  • Initiate key grower sales call in collaboration with Division and Branch teams
  • Assist branches with proprietary product performance and feedback resolution
  • Provide leadership and coaching to meet performance targets
  • Support local tours of R&D farms and the breeding R&D stations
  • Collaborate to execute the proprietary products performance plots, demo plots, strip trials, plot tours and data collection
  • Stay abreast of new technologies, competitive information including pricing and programming,
  • Provide feedback on portfolio requirements and key improvements
  • Champion and comply with Nutrien, industry regulatory, and SH&E standards
  • Utilize and leverage available digital technologies to complete work accurately and efficiently


What you will bring:


  • 3+ years of successful experience in agri-product sales or marketing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Commerce, Business, or equivalent post-secondary education
  • Public speaking and agronomy experience, including a CCA or PAG Designation, an asset
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience, may be considered
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license
