What You'll Do:

  • Model and promote a culture of care, ensuring compliance with Nutrien Ag Solutions and industry EH&S standards. Support the Commitment to Zero strategy.
  • Coordinate and deliver safety training (WHMIS, Fall Protection, PPE, CPR/First Aid, etc.) for supervisors and employees. Conduct job site safety inspections, hazard analyses, and provide written recommendations. Monitor safety program adherence across employees and subcontractors.
  • Lead Joint Health and Safety Committees at applicable sites. Assist in developing site-specific safety programs. Respond to safety concerns and incidents (e.g., chemical spills), investigate, and report via ETQ. Liaise with SHE Retail Advisor and leadership as needed.
  • Advise management and staff on occupational safety issues. Deliver monthly safety training aligned with OH&S requirements. Organize inspections, investigations, and safety activities to maintain compliance.
  • Collaborate with SH&E Advisor on incident investigations and corrective actions. Analyze injury data to update Job Safety Analyses. Research best practices and equipment for hazard mitigation. Conduct daily tailgate meetings to share safety updates.
  • Participate in audits and ensure timely corrective actions. Perform Warehouse Specialist duties when not engaged in SSC tasks.
  • Follow operational plans to ensure efficient product flow. Pick orders accurately and safely using bills of lading. Stage and verify orders, prioritize trailer loading, and inspect incoming goods for damage. Ensure proper storage and documentation.
  • Complete bills of lading with correct routing and legibility. Operate equipment safely and wear required PPE. Inspect equipment and facilities, reporting risks to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Maintain an organized warehouse in compliance with Agrichemical Warehousing Standards (AWS). Support additional operational needs as required.

What You'll Bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certificate is required.
  • 7 years of experience in occupational health and safety in an agricultural, warehouse, or related field is required. Education and experience may be considered in lieu of experience requirement.
  • Sask Polytech Occupational Health and Safety certificate (or equivalent) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations.
  • Proven ability to coach others and lead change while building a strong team dynamic and safety-focused culture.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Ability to lift 50 – 60 lbs on a routine basis when performing Warehouse Support role.
