What You'll Do:
- Perform sample analysis using GC/MS and GC/FID methods
- Collect, prepare and analyze samples within the laboratory environment
- Prepare lab for daily operations, including stocking materials, evaluating equipment, and performing safety and cleaning procedures
- Support the testing process by preparing samples for analysis
- Ensure appropriate testing procedures are conducted in compliance with Quality Assurance and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements
- Schedule, prepare, and analyze samples based on method requirements within allotted time frame
- Review, complete, and process logs and additional documentation as required
- Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment
- Other duties as required
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field; or experience in lieu of
- Previous experience working in an environmental laboratory is preferred
- Exceptional time management and communication skills
- Strong data analysis and documentation abilities
- Strong working knowledge of general laboratory equipment
- Ability to communicate with people from various backgrounds
- Ability to work independently
- Eager to learn, take initiative, quick learner, and self-motivated
- Prioritize tasks assigned
- Organized and detail oriented
- Read and write in English, able to follow written/verbal instructions
