Lab Technician II

The Wet Chem Laboratory Technician will be responsible for supporting the wet chemistry laboratory by following methodologies, performing analysis, and interpreting data from samples.

What you will do:

• Analyzing samples for alkalinity, biochemical oxygen demand, chemical oxygen demand, total dissolved solids, total suspended solids, and other inorganic analyses
• Follow the outlined methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures for the tests to which you have been assigned
• Learn to operate and maintain scientific instruments such as flow injection analyzers, total organic carbon analyzers, and ion chromatography systems
• Document activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of laboratory equipment and areas
• Assist group leaders and analysts in ordering and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation

What you will bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• 1-3 years of previous experience working in an environmental laboratory is preferred.
• Knowledge of analytical method, instruments, general lab practices, and lab safety.
• Exceptional time management and communication skills.
