The Analyst (Soils) will be responsible for performing analyses of client samples in the Soils laboratory using analytical techniques and procedures. You will have the opportunity to partner with knowledgeable laboratory professionals to prepare, test, and analyze various sample types. 

 

What you will do: 

 

  • ​​Collect, prepare, and analyze samples within the laboratory environment. 
  • ​Prepare lab for daily operations, including stocking materials, evaluating equipment, and performing safety and cleaning procedures. 
  • ​Ensure appropriate testing procedures are conducted in compliance with QA and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements. 
  • ​Schedule, prepare, and analyze samples based on method requirements within allotted time frame. 
  • ​Utilize instrumentation (pH, LOI, ICP, and LECO) 
  • ​Validate and enter final results/Quality Control using vendor LIMS.  
  • ​Review, complete, and process logs and additional documentation as required. 
  • ​Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment.​ 
  • Other duties as required. 

 

What you will bring: 

 

  • ​​Willingness and ability to work evening or overnight shifts.
  • Bachelor's degree or experience in lieu of. 
  • ​2 years of related work experience.  
  • Previous experience working in an environmental laboratory is preferred.  
  • ​Exceptional time management and communication skills required. 
  • ​Strong working knowledge of general laboratory equipment. 
  • ​Ability to communicate with people from various backgrounds. 
  • ​Ability to work independently. 
  • ​Eager to learn, take initiative, quick learner, and self-motivated. 
  • ​Prioritize tasks assigned. 
  • ​Organized and detail oriented. 
  • ​Read and write in English.
  • Ability to follow written/verbal instructions.
