Lab Technician I

The Organic Preparation Laboratory Technician will be responsible for supporting the Organic Laboratory by following methodologies and performing extractions for the Organics department.

What you will do:
 

• Prepare and extract samples for a wide variety of testing procedures.
• Follow the outlined methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures for the tests assigned.
• Document activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of laboratory equipment and areas.
• Organize and store samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample.
• Ability to work in a team setting.
• Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment.
• Other duties as required.

What you will bring:
 

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in an environmental laboratory is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of analytical methods, instruments, general lab practices, and lab safety is a plus.
• Exceptional time management and communication skills required.
