Title:  Livestock Sales Manager

Looking for a role where your hard work and passion for livestock is recognised? As part of Nutrien Ag Solutions’ Bourke team you will manage customer´s livestock requirements and look for opportunities to protect, maintain and grow the whole business.



A typical day with us may look like:


Along with managing the key livestock customer base, this role will identify sales opportunities, and coordinate strategies and programs ensuring positive financial outcomes. In addition, you will;


  • Proactively develop effective multi-level and multi-activity relationships with key customers across the business
  • Develop and implement an appropriate business plan for assigned customers to retain and / or grow revenue, profitability and to build and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Develop and coordinate stud stock fixtures for sheep, cattle & goats.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers and key regional industry personnel
  • Develop relationships with the large producers/pastoral companies, and feedlot operations in the area
  • Build long lasting partnerships with customers and deliver appropriate advice and services using your specialist knowledge of both sheep and cattle
  • Manage livestock client requirements
  • Build partnerships with existing and prospective livestock clients



About You:


If you have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with livestock and in a sales environment, and an interest in general farming and animal health, together with an eagerness to learn new skills and enjoy different challenges each day, then we’d like to hear from you. 


  • You will have hands on livestock handling & livestock sales experience
  • Preferred if you hold current AuctionsPlus Assessor accreditation (Sheep and/or Cattle)
  • Ability to integrate in a team environment
  • Proven experience in negotiation, sales, and marketing, as well as the ability to communicate at all levels
  • You will have a current driver’s license
  • Ideally an auctioneers’ licence
  • You will be a self-motivated person capable of nurturing and sustaining strong customer and client relationships with the ability to follow through in a fast-paced environment.
