Title:  Account Manager Agronomy

We are currently offering a great opportunity for an experienced Account Manager in Agronomy to join our team. Reporting to the Branch Manager the focus of your role will be to consult and offer expert product knowledge to broadacre and pasture client base in the Lake Bolac district, VIC.  

 

 

 

About the opportunity:

 

  • You will work closely with our key clients in the Lake Bolac area to provide superior agronomic advice and inputs with a focus on broadacre agronomy, pasture production and crop monitoring.
  • You will share information with producers related to environmental and seasonal conditions affecting crop production, perform soil testing and study other factors affecting production in order to provide sound fertiliser, nutrient, and soil recommendations to improve quality and yield.
  • The crop list grows every year with farmers looking to diversify, so we offer a great opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of pasture systems and broadacre cropping. 
  • In addition, you will conduct field demonstrations and trial work for product development in conjunction with key suppliers. 
  • You will also work collaboratively with branch staff to drive promotions, merchandising and sales performance.
  • Engage and work alongside a team within an established business, servicing the needs of cutting edge farmers and who have significant experience partnering with producers
  • Responsibility for increasing the productivity, profitability, and sustainability of farming enterprises

 

 

 

About you:

 

  • Strong technical knowledge in agronomic practices and application, preferable broadacre and/or pasture experience
  • You will have a minimum 2 - 3 years building and ensuring successful partnerships with customers, delivering appropriate agronomic advice and services
  • History of success in executing sales outcomes using your specialist knowledge of fertiliser, seed and chemical products and application applicable to those crops
  • You will demonstrate excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
  • A driver’s licence and whilst not essential a forklift licence would be advantageous.
