We are currently seeking a driven Merchandise Sales & Store Person to support our rural clients at our Parkes branch. What a great place to learn and develop your career!

 

 

About the Opportunity:

 

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring orders are received and dispatched for delivery safely and on time, as well as providing sales support in the branch. Tasks are varied and will include:

 

  • Performing general administrative tasks including, stock control, ordering, receipting, dispatch, and delivery of goods
  • Unloading stock from trucks with a forklift
  • Operate a heavy rigid truck for on farm deliveries when truck driver is unavailable
  • Check and receive stock in and out of store
  • Maintain the presentation of the show room and keep shelves full of product for display and sale
  • Assist customers with pricing and product queries  
  • Processing counter sales through POS
  • Maintaining safety processes
  • Assistance with merchandise campaign material

 

 

About You:

 

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in a team support role in a busy environment and have a passion for Australian farming and agriculture. In addition, you will demonstrate:

 

  • A proactive approach to work and practical organisation skills
  • Forklift licence and drivers’ licence is essential
  • HR or MR licence highly viewed
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective verbal communications skills to build solid long-term customer relationships
  • Problem solving skills and empathy to resolve customer issues promptly
  • Ability to identify ways to improve internal sales processes
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
