In Trinidad & Tobago, we operate one of the world's largest nitrogen complexes with 4 ammonia plants and 1 urea plant on 165 acres of Trinidad's sheltered west coast.
What you will do:
- Ensure self and team embodies Nutrien’s Culture of Care for safety, health, and environment, engaging in programs and practices from our action plan, The Nutrien Way.
- Interface with stakeholders and project teams for successful project development, execution, and completion.
- Provide disciplined engineering knowledge, plant, and project management experience throughout the project life cycle (pre-project & project delivery process).
- Manage all required project documentation throughout the project life cycle.
- Execute all project Stage Gate progression activities required as part of the Project Management Process.
- Execute all project Financial Approval request activities (e.g., REFs, AFEs etc.) required as part of the Project Management Process.
- Monitor and update project performance against the plan, update forecasts and implement Change Control as required to address any performance issues.
- Provide monthly capital expenditure reports, spend analysis, forecast reports as well as other reports required by either site management or the central capital group to evaluate project performance.
- Provide extended support to the troubleshooting, emergency repair & maintenance of electrical, instrumentation & controls equipment.
- Support the application of the site’s Reliability & PSM programs, inclusive of Bad Actors, End Of Life, Root Cause Analysis, Operational Risk Management, Process Hazard Analysis, Management of Change, and TapRoot Investigations.
What you will bring:
- BSc. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- 6 - 9+ years' working experience in electrical design, installation and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems, control systems and electrical equipment and machinery.
- 5+ years or more experience in Process Safety Management (PSM) with emphasis in Electrical, Instrumentation & Process Controls Integrity programmes.
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant certifications, registrations and licenses will be an asset.
- Accredited Project Managment experience will be an asset
