In Trinidad & Tobago, we operate one of the world's largest nitrogen complexes with 4 ammonia plants and 1 urea plant on 165 acres of Trinidad's sheltered west coast.
What you will do:
- Provide leadership and ensure a safe work environment for all employees by maintaining compliance with all applicable safety requirements, guiding by example and promoting a Culture of Care.
- Establish technical and site-specific prioritization of work activities and craft crew distribution and manage the daily activities of trades and contractors; ensuring high quality maintenance is achieved, subsequently lending to the increased availability of the facility.
- Ensure that the relevant Engineering Standards, Engineering Software, Draughting Software, Equipment Specification Templates, Construction Standards, Electrical Safety Standards and Electrical Installation Codes are available to E&I Engineers for the execution of E&I Engineering activities in compliance with internationally accepted standards and practice as well as Nutrien PSM standards and RAGAGEPs.
- Ensure that an Electrical Safety Program in compliance with NFPA Codes and OSHA Regulations is implemented on the facility and kept updated as standards are revised. Assist with ensuring that Electrical Safety Test Equipment and PPE required to comply with practices specified by the Site Electrical Safety Program defined above, are identified, purchased, tested periodically and made available to all E&I personnel.
- Develop/review PMs for equipment and review with E&I personnel for implementation, effectiveness, monitoring and optimization utilizing KPIs.
- Manage and evaluate the workload and performance of E&I Engineers according to Company Goals/Objectives and Performance Review procedures.
- Support the site’s Bad Actor program.
- Review calibration and test data/results for E&I Equipment and develop ways to help increase plant production efficiencies and minimize downtime.
- Assist in the development and management of the plant maintenance expense budget including outages, turnarounds and non-routine items.
- Function as site SME of key plant equipment and provide maintenance E&I engineering technical support to the facility production areas, supplier & services integration in addition to any other plant area or company area of need.
What you will bring:
- Electrical Engineering Degree from an accredited University
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in engineering design, project management, and/ or industrial plant maintenance of electrical and instrumentation assets
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory position
