Job Description: 

What You'll Do:

 

  • Provide high‑quality agronomic and technical advice to growers across the region  
  • Build and maintain long‑term, trusted relationships with existing customers
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through superior agronomic insight and service
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s operation, goals and seasonal requirements
  • Share relevant technical, seasonal and market insights to improve farm productivity and sustainability
  • Stay current with latest plant production practices and agronomic innovations
  • Stay up to date with late digital tools and use them to ensure the best outcomes for your growers
  • Coordinate and participate in field days, trials and farmer meetings, positioning yourself as a local subject‑matter expert
  • Act as a go‑to agronomy advisor for cotton and broadacre inputs in the region

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Proven experience as a trusted advisor in an agronomy‑focused role
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Strong understanding of agronomic products, seasonal timing and grower requirements
  • Demonstrated capability in sales planning, call cycle management and customer growth
  • Excellent customer service, organisational and administrative skills
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a high‑performing team
  • Experience in agronomic advisory roles relating to agricultural chemicals and fertiliser
  • Knowledge of horticultural agronomy (highly regarded, but not essential)
  • A tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science (or related discipline)
  • A current driver’s licence
