What You'll Do:
Reporting to the Manager, Treasury Back Office & Compliance, the individual is responsible for specific Energy related tasks and other operational assistance, along with backup support to Treasury.  This role will work closely with individuals across Nutrien including Controllers, Treasury, Energy, Accounts Payable, SOX, and Tax departments.

- Executing the counterparty confirmation process for Energy transactions.
- Preparing reports for Energy stakeholders, including gas schedules, swap rates, FX rates.
- Process monthly Natural Gas invoices – critical payments and correspondence with stakeholders.
- Monitor the Natural Gas inbox – manage emails that pertain to Back Office for Energy by organizing and actioning accordingly.
- Process various invoices via Oracle for the Energy team.
- Complete Power invoices, Power Price reporting, and Legal Entity Identifier Renewals.
- Manage the Annual Compliance process for certain pipelines.
- Respond to adhoc requests relating to Energy.
- Monitoring, identifying, and updating policies and procedures.
- Support on-going initiatives and special projects.
- Provide backup to Treasury Back Office, including confirmations of financial transactions, payments and other tasks as required.
What You'll Bring:
- 2+ years work experience in Accounting, Finance, or Energy is preferred.
- Business degree with a finance or accounting major.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is necessary.
- Knowledge of Oracle is an asset.
- Career-oriented, self-starting, results-based individual dedicated to continuous improvement.
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, takes direction well while striving to gain knowledge and understanding of Energy activities and tasks, and able to concurrently handle multiple demands/tasks.
