This position can be remote within Nutrien's West region and will require travel to various locations.
Â
What You'll Do:
Â
- Direct all aspects and operations for the West Region, ensuring Nutrien Ag Solutions is the most customer focused ag solutions provider to our customers
- Champion people development, succession planning and promote a safe and inclusive culture – ensuring we are an employer of choice
- Creates an environment and promotes active listening to employees at all levels, is visible and supports a culture of employee engagement and trust
- Drives progressive thinking and creates a culture of high-standards, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Purposely role models and promotes Nutrien core values and Culture of Care in their everyday interactions
- Partner with the Corporate Strategy team to develop growth strategies for the Region, centering on maximizing efficiency and profitability within the Region, and identifying inorganic acquisition and expansion opportunities
- Translate strategic vision into multi-year delivery plans that span across the Region to deliver outcomes that impact / drive organizational transformation
- Establish, monitor, review and analyze budget forecasts and operation goals on a regular basis and initiate actions as required; initiate and own the Regional 5-year plan, 1 year P&L and budgeting process while focussing on implementation for the Region, working collaboratively with the business and all supporting partners
- Provide ownership, direction, and oversight to the Division Managers regarding capital budget needs to ensure resources are deployed toward the highest safety, growth, or transformational priorities.
- Champion and effectively promote key corporate initiatives and value-added products for Nutrien Ag Solutions, including all digital, supply chain, sustainability efforts, Project Foundation and Target Operating Model.
- Accountable for enforcing all Nutrien and industry regulatory SH&E standards within the Region
- Develops and manages sensitive or strategic vendor, customer and community relationships that have significant impact on the achievement of the business plan
- Partner with cross functional teams to corroborate priorities, align resources and systematically drive business transformation
- Utilize change management principles, processes, and tools to focus on driving results across the Region

What You'll Bring:
Â
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or related field of study or equivalent of 15 years of experience
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience in influential leadership roles, managing highly effective teams
- Demonstrated success developing leaders and effective succession plans/talent pipelines
- Track record of building and leading diverse, high performing and engaged teams
- Experience creating a strong environment and culture where employees can do their best and be their best
- History of leading, driving and delivering a safety culture
- Strategic thinker with strong business and financial acumen; able to identify opportunities using a data-driven approach
- Strong collaboration, influencing and stakeholder management capabilities; experience working with senior business stakeholders
- Experience leading teams through large-scale organizational transformation initiatives
- Significant experience in a multi-site/multi-asset environment
- Thorough understanding of all components within the agriculture industry, including business economics and agronomics
- Impeccable oral and written communication capabilities, ability to articulate business needs with internal and external stakeholders
- Leadership experience with direct P&L accountability

The salary range for this role in California and Colorado is between $154,400 - $242,550. In Washington, is between $147,000 - $231,000. In Nevada, is between $139,800 - $219,670. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process.Â
