The AI Product Owner is responsible for guiding the successful delivery of AI and data products by serving as the key liaison between business stakeholders, Business Relationship Managers (BRMs), and technical delivery teams. This role focuses on day-to-day product execution, backlog management, and Agile delivery coordination to ensure AI initiatives are delivered effectively and aligned with business priorities.

 

The AI Product Owner works closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable product requirements, ensures delivery teams have clear direction, and maintains visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes throughout the product lifecycle.

What You'll Do:

 

Product Ownership & Stakeholder Alignment

 

  • Serve as the Product Owner for assigned AI and data initiatives, ensuring alignment between business objectives and delivery efforts
  • Partner with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) and business stakeholders to understand priorities, scope, and success criteria
  • Translate business objectives into clear product goals, roadmaps, and delivery milestones
  • Ensure product development stays aligned with agreed timelines, scope, and expected business outcomes

 

Requirements Definition & Backlog Management

 

  • Translate business requirements into well-defined user stories, features, and acceptance criteria that can be executed by technical teams
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, balancing business value, delivery capacity, and technical dependencies
  • Collaborate closely with AI engineers, data scientists, and platform teams to clarify requirements and resolve questions
  • Lead backlog refinement activities to ensure work items are clearly defined and ready for sprint planning

 

Agile Delivery & Sprint Coordination

 

  • Facilitate and participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Track sprint progress, dependencies, and risks, escalating issues when needed
  • Help ensure sprint commitments are realistic and focused on delivering incremental business value
  • Coordinate release planning and cross-team delivery dependencies

 

Value Delivery & Solution Enablement

 

  • Ensure AI solutions are delivered with clearly defined use cases and measurable outcomes
  • Work with technical teams to validate assumptions related to data readiness, model feasibility, and delivery timelines
  • Support product releases, stakeholder demonstrations, and feedback collection
  • Track and communicate progress, adoption indicators, and early business value signals

 

Communication & Governance

 

  • Serve as a central communication point between business stakeholders, BRMs, and technical delivery teams
  • Provide regular updates on delivery progress, scope changes, risks, and milestones
  • Support preparation of materials for governance reviews, steering committees, or leadership updates
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards for data governance, security, and responsible AI practices

What You'll Bring:

 

  • 3–6 years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Delivery Lead, or similar role
  • Hands-on experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery teams
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical work
  • Experience supporting the delivery of data, analytics, or AI-related solutions
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with both technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning, generative AI, or advanced analytics projects
  • Experience collaborating with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) or demand intake processes
  • Familiarity with enterprise technology delivery environments and cross-team coordination
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile management platforms
