What You'll Do:
Â
- Build strong relationships with corporate function leaders to understand business priorities and workforce needs
- Provide day-to-day HR advisory support and problem-solving solutions to business leaders within the Corporate functions
- Assist in the implementation of company and business unit HR strategies, programs and processes (e.g. annual compensation cycle and ad-hoc reviews, benefit programs and leave processes, performance management, talent strategies, organizational design, new employee on-boarding and off-boarding activities for departing employees)
- Provide support and training to business leaders in interpretation and use of HR policies, processes and programs
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring needs, role scoping, and selection processes
- Partner with Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated HR and organization solutions
- Utilize HR information system to update employee data and facilitate key HR programs
- Assist in resolving moderately complex employee relations matters
- Take the lead in the deployment of HR projects and new policy deployment
- Support employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
- Leverage HR data and metrics related to engagement, turnover, performance, etc. to inform decision-making, identify trends, provide insights, and participate in resolution
- Support change management efforts related to organizational or strategic shifts
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies
What You'll Bring:
Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent related experience
- 3–5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally supporting corporate or professional functions
- Experience working with Corporate functions and leaders at all levels across multiple locations and countries in a matrix structure
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices in Canada and the United States
- Strong administration, organizational, and time management skills
- Customer focused attitude with demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with client groups
- Comfortable working as part of a team and taking direction from multiple senior leaders
- Ability to prioritize often competing demands
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to influence with good verbal and written communication and advisory skills
- Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions, resolve moderately complex decisions, and exercise good judgment on sensitive and confidential issues
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation would be considered an asset
- SAP experience an asset
- Success Factors experience an asset
