Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Procurement - IT, the Advisor, Corporate Procurement will lead and support strategic sourcing of corporate services, information technology (IT), and other items in line with the Procurement Organization’s targets. The role will be a critical strategic partner to internal customers in managing total spend while procuring quality products and services to meet company requirements. With the guidance and support of the Senior Manager, Corporate Procurement, the Advisor will be responsible for contract management (negotiating, extending, reviewing, and closing contracts), contracting and negotiating strategy, supplier relationship and performance management (SRM/SPM), identifying and executing value creation opportunities, market intelligence, and interfacing with Corporate clients and sites, all in support of the implementation of Procurement initiatives. The Advisor will also monitor and track contract compliance, spend, and savings for Procurement initiatives.

What You'll Do:

 

  • Negotiate with suppliers and develop contracts with optimal terms and conditions for information technology (IT), including software, hardware, services and consulting
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including gathering scopes of work, specifications, volumes, and other areas of value, to guide internal customer needs by developing RFx packages
  • Coordination of internal stakeholders’ discussion on RFx packages and evaluations
  • Analyze RFx supplier proposals and bid evaluation results to make supplier selection recommendations
  • Assess industry & supplier landscape by performing market research and supplier due diligence
  • Writing contract/executive summaries & securing contract signatures
  • Administration of contracts & amendments in the appropriate Nutrien contract management and sourcing systems
  • Assisting with Supplier Performance Management (SPM) tasks & Internal customer feedback
  • Resolving invoicing/payment issues with corporate buyers and suppliers
  • Calculating and tracking cost savings
  • Monitoring and tracking of contract & spend compliance
  • Engaging with the Governance & Enablement Team to use procurement policies, processes, tools & templates
  • Support the Corporate Procurement Leadership team with the development, planning, and implementation of Procurement initiatives impacting our Corporate Stakeholders
  • Understanding of SAP Ariba tools, systems, and processes and how they are integrated with all systems (SAP/Oracle)

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field
  • Certifications in disciplines such as Procurement (SCMP/CPSM), Lean / Six Sigma, or Operational Planning preferred
  • Minimum ~six (6) years relevant industry experience with four (4) years’ experience in strategic sourcing and supply chain management
  • Experience in IT supply chain and procurement, including negotiations, strategy development and implementation, supplier relationships, contract management, forecasting, risk management, and S2P processes and tools
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with high time management skills
  • Strategic sourcing experience and capabilities
  • S2C and P2P process
  • Results-driven mindset and capabilities
  • Motivated, high-energy, results-driven, and self-starter business mindset and capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with comfort working cross-functionally to gather information and resolve conflicts
  • Clear and thorough understanding of, and practical experience with, enterprise asset management systems (SAP/Oracle), spend management tools (e.g., Ariba, analysis & reports), data management tools, and S2P systems (eProcurement)
  • High degree of integrity, discretion, honesty, fairness, and sound business practices to secure and maintain Nutrien’s reputation in the market
