This positions reports to the Lead Sr Electrical Engineer, Underground Maintenance Engineering.

This position is located in Allan, Saskatchewan, Canada.

What you will do:

• Provide engineering support to safely implement, maintain, and improve the automation of underground Potash mining equipment
• Design and troubleshoot automation controls (PLCs and instrumentation) and HMIs (SCADA) in accordance with industry best practices
• Support and advise diverse technical and operational teams in a research and design environment
• Participate in project management activities, including cost management, reporting to stakeholders, business case development, and vendor/contractor management
• Be a safety leader and foster a positive safety culture

What you will bring:

• Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and eligibility to register with APEGS; Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation Technology
• Ability to work underground and perform field work as required
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent work ethic
• Excellent interpersonal and social skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to effectively communicate in a professional setting and with non-technical and/or diverse groups
• Thorough decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of underground potash mining is an asset
