What you will do:

  • Screens assigned work orders to see that they are properly filled out and all categorization and coding is correct.
  • Discusses the details with the originating department, ensures that the work scope is clearly documented and properly authorized by responsible department.
  • Ensures that the target completion date (suggested by the work order priority) is realistic and that the work order type is correct.
  • Utilizes the Oracle EAM ERP system to manage work requests and work orders through completion including planning work orders with labor, materials, services, and special tools, managing bill of materials, managing standard and PM job plans, and tracking asset history and costs.
  • Support cataloging materials and services.
  • Participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process and supporting activities and documentation.
  • Monitor the PM backlog to ensure that all PM’s are done in accordance with established schedules and meet safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maximize the utilization of resources, equipment, and materials through the coordination of schedules with operating and maintenance areas and between crafts.
  • Ensure Short Notice Outage Work (SNOW) is effectively managed and ready to work in the event of unplanned outages.
  • Orders necessary material from the Warehouse and verifies the availability via the ERP system.
  • Works with Warehouse personnel to procure parts and materials that are out of stock.
  • Issue requisitions for non-stock and description direct materials and services. Monitors availability and delivery of these and works with Purchasing to expedite as necessary.
  • Leverage work execution feedback and post job reviews of actual work performed and materials used compared to plan and refines planning and standard job plans.
  • Supports bundling of work and work forecasting.
  • Knowledgeable in maintaining resource availability, performing net capacity scheduling, and able to develop weekly and daily scheduling leveraging best practices.
  • Perform outage management and critical path scheduling.
  • Supports work completion with appropriate documentation and initiates follow-up work if needed.
  • Receive services in the ERP system.
  • Able to coach peers on Planning and Scheduling leading practices.

What you will bring:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 4+ years of Instrumentation or Electrical planning and scheduling experience.
  • Instrument and Electrical cross functional planning and scheduling experience is a plus.
  • A commitment to Safety and Environmental leading practices and culture.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours and required overtime, particularly during turnarounds and unit down times.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, work at heights, safely lift up to 50lbs, walk, crawl, bend, stoop, and work in confined spaces.
  • Comfortable working in an industrial atmosphere with fumes, temperature extremes, loud noise, vibration, dust, etc.
