Nutrien US LLC has an opening for Sr. Engineer, Process Controls in Borger, TX.  

What you will do:

• Administer the site SIS program to ensure the safety, availability, and reliability of the site’s safety instrumented systems
• Ensure the integrity of the safety instrumented systems directly contributes to Nutrien’s safety, environmental, and reliability objectives
• Be accountable for the following activities related to their assigned SIS:

• • verification, validation, and witnessing commissioning activities;
  • deliver training to all personnel that interface and/or maintain SIS;
  • develop written procedures for inspection, testing, and maintenance of the SIS
  • ensure that all SIS documentation is developed (new systems), or is updated;
  • provide the site with SIS expertise (i.e., first point of contact for the site for all SIS);
  • review and approve new SIS designs;
  • review and approve the SIS Manual and the SRS

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in an electrical engineering-related occupation.
• Experience must include:

• • 5 years of experience with Honeywell Experion PKS, C300 and Safety Manager
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Work, Excel, Outlook
  • 5 years of experience with the application of ISA 61511 - Functional Safety Instrumented Systems for the Process Industry Sector
  • 3 years of experience with Burner management systems
  • 3 years of experience with Turbine speed governor controls
  • 5 years of experience with Distributed control systems
  • 5 years of experience of General purpose and safety programmable logic controllers
  • 3 years of experience with Implementation of the instrumentation and control mechanical integrity program.
