This position will report to the Manager, Financial Reporting & Consolidation, Retail and be responsible for supporting the completion of consolidation and financial accounting reporting tasks.
What you will do:
- Maintain ERP master data mappings across SAP and Peoplesoft accounting systems to ensure compliance with internal and external auditors
- Process and reconcile transactional data/general ledger balances between different ERPs
- Maintain governance and control of accounting periods so that transactions are posted in the correct month
- Provide support and guidance to companies in North America, Australia and South America
- Translate local currencies to USD and confirm translated amounts agree with reports and align across ERPs
- Analyze companies with non-controlling interests for correct accounting of ownership
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis during the closing process
- Accumulate data and commentary to generate quarterly/yearly reports and schedules that will be used in internal and external financial reports
- Participate in system projects and implementations
- Complete information requests from external, internal auditors and corporate tax
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a recognized institution
- 4+ years relevant business experience
- Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
- Strong integrity and business ethics
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) with a focus on intermediate Excel skills, experience with Power BI, SAP and Peoplesoft is desired
- Ability to prioritize tasks with competing deadlines and display a sense of urgency around month-end deadlines
- Ability to adapt to new processes and system solutions to best support accounting and finance teams across the world
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (written, oral and listening)
- Self-motivated with a drive to find efficiencies and learn new skills
