The Advisor, Procurement Enablement supports Nutrien’s Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes by managing end-to-end supplier onboarding, maintaining supplier data integrity, and ensuring compliance with procurement standards across SAP ECC, Oracle, and SAP Ariba. This role enables smooth supplier setup and transactional readiness by guiding suppliers through registration, configuration, and post-activation activities, while providing ongoing support through Ariba Network and related systems. The Advisor collaborates closely with Procurement, Legal & Integrity, Accounts Payable, and IT to resolve issues, ensure documentation accuracy, and support cross-functional integrations. The role is also responsible for performing ad-hoc and ongoing supplier risk monitoring in Dow Jones Risk Center—including sanctions, PEP, adverse media, and other third-party risk checks—documenting findings, managing alert dispositions, and escalating risks to the appropriate governance functions. Additionally, the Advisor provides procurement channel coaching by helping stakeholders determine the appropriate buying method by applying procurement best practices to ensure compliant, efficient, and fit-for-purpose purchasing decisions.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Perform end-to-end supplier onboarding in Ariba SLP, including outreach, registration support, data validation, and coordination of required documentation
  • Conduct supplier due diligence and risk monitoring by maintaining supplier data, executing Risk Center screenings, reviewing alerts, and escalating issues to Legal & Integrity as needed
  • Maintain supplier risk monitoring cases, including updating criteria, logging decisions, and preparing summaries or reports for Integrity, Legal, ESG, and Procurement Governance
  • Support supplier onboarding by providing walkthroughs and assisting with Ariba Network configuration (routing, notifications, and profiles) to ensure post-activation transactional readiness
  • Manage and resolve ServiceNow tickets related to onboarding, Ariba connectivity, and supplier setup issues; identify trends and recurring issues
  • Support compliance and lifecycle activities, including periodic updates, documentation renewals, and integrity checks to ensure supplier files remain complete before activation
  • Coordinate with internal partners to resolve cross-functional issues affecting supplier setup or P2P execution
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on onboarding requirements, Ariba Network tasks, and supplier readiness; assist in maintaining job aids, documentation, and FAQs
  • Prepare data for reporting on onboarding cycle time, supplier adoption, and transactional readiness indicators
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by the Manager, Ariba Downstream, to support supplier enablement and S2P sustainment

What You'll Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, supplier enablement, S2P/P2P processes, or supplier data management
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field is preferred
  • Professional certifications such as SCMP, CPSM, or Lean/Six Sigma are assets
  • Experience communicating directly with suppliers and working with sensitive information
  • Understanding of SAP Business Network onboarding and data requirements
  • SAP Ariba experience required (SLP, Buying & Invoicing, Ariba Network)
  • SAP ECC/S4, Oracle, and ServiceNow experience are assets
  • Experience with risk screening, compliance workflows, or third-party risk tools (such as Dow Jones Risk Center) is an asset
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with various teams and levels of the organization
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word) and comfort navigating multiple enterprise systems
  • High degree of ethics, discretion, and sound business judgment to maintain Nutrien’s reputation
