This is a 12 month temporary opportunity based in the Calgary or Saskatoon corporate offices.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Schedule meetings with internal and external parties.
  • Work with process owners, to document financial processes.
  • Assist in assessing the control design over new and changing financial processes and controls.
  • Test the operating effectiveness of the financial controls over financial reporting.
  • Advise process owners on process documentation and the assessment of the adequacy of financial controls within specific process areas.
  • Maintain Financial control documentation.

What You'll Bring:

  • Recent graduate in Business, Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent degree program.
  • Will work towards a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or equivalent designation.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication for interacting with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated time management skills to meet deadlines as well as flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Able to work independently with limited direct supervision.
  • Commitment to deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency Microsoft Office Suite of products, ERP experience such as Oracle, SAP, or Peoplesoft would be an asset.
  • Previous financial control or audit experience specifically related to documentation and testing of financial controls would be an asset.
