An exciting opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Calgary, AB office. Providing invaluable work experience in a growing company, this term position will begin in January 2025 for 12 months ideally full-time. Part-time hours may be considered in the months from January to May. Part-time training and on-boarding during the first 2 weeks of December 2024 would be preferred. 

 

What you will do:

  • Assist with Fixed Asset additions, disposals, and transfers to the ERP Asset Management's module
  • Help support the creation of fixed asset documentation relating to projects expenses to ensure proper support is provided for capitalization
  • Assist with the review of Construction-in-Progress (CIP) transactions to ensure transactions are following the proper policies and procedure
  • Assist with the creation of monthly fixed asset reports distributed to Senior Management
  • Assist with the creation of quarterly reviews and reports sent to Corporate
  • Assist the Tax Department with reports for tax depreciation, bonus depreciation and property tax returns
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

What you will bring:

  • 3rd or 4th year university student in Accounting program
  • Working understanding of IFRS rules
  • ERP system experience with either PeopleSoft or SAP/S4 would be an asset
