An exciting opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Calgary, AB or Saskatoon, SK Corporate Office. Providing invaluable work experience in a growing company, this full-time term position will begin in January 2025 for 12 months. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete.
What you will do:
- Help create conceptual designs and storyboards that illustrate a vision for the product, and show how an end user will accomplish their goals
- Participate in whiteboarding sessions and work with other members of the UX team to help identify opportunities for understanding and synergy across projects
- Shadow senior UX designers as they facilitate design sessions and collaborate with other team members to ideate conceptual and design solutions
- Work with other UX designers to create artifacts like user flows, journey maps, personas, wireframes, low and high-fidelity mockups and prototypes
- Familiarize yourself with our DDC Design System and engage with other UX designers to continue evolving the Design System
- Have knowledge and/or willingness to learn using Figma, Maze, Miro and other UX tools
What you will bring:
- Currently enrolled in a User Experience Design, User Interface Design, Web Design, Digital Design or equivalent degree program and completed at least 3 years of study
