The Director, Enterprise Finance Decision Support & Long-Term Planning is an expert in financial modeling and analysis. This role is critical in shaping Nutrien's forward-looking financial profile, ensuring alignment with the company's market outlook, strategic initiatives, operational goals, and capital allocation framework. It plays a key role in providing financial insights and analysis to inform major business decisions, while also being accountable for long-term consolidated planning that supports Nutrien's strategic priorities over extended time horizons.
What you will do:
- Lead the delivery of Nutrien's consolidated five-year plan, encompassing capital allocation scenario analysis, liquidity forecasting, and other forward-looking financial insights for stakeholders such as the Nutrien Board of Directors, ELT, CFO, SVP Finance and Accounting, and Investor Relations
- Partner with the Treasury team to forecast Nutrien's liquidity position, assess financial capacity, monitor debt metrics, and maintain covenant compliance
- Design and sustain driver-based models to facilitate strategic planning, scenario analysis, risk assessment, and capital planning while delivering actionable insights to stakeholders
- Oversee the enhancement of Nutrien's five-year plan process by defining standards, adopting best practices, ensuring governance, and managing process coordination and timelines
- Manage capital planning and reporting activities to ensure accurate performance tracking and accountability
- Perform comprehensive financial analyses across Nutrien's business and operations, collaborating closely with operating segment planning and decision support teams
- Collaborate with the Strategy team on business case evaluations and asset reviews to support financial and strategic decision-making
- Present well-structured financial insights and strategic recommendations through presentations and memorandums to executive leadership, senior management, and the Board of Directors
- Mentor and lead a high-performing team, providing ongoing coaching, managing performance, and fostering career development opportunities
What you will bring:
- 15+ years of experience in strategic financial planning within a complex, multinational, publicly traded corporate environment, including at least 3 years in progressive leadership roles
- A recognized finance and/or accounting designation (e.g., CFA, CBV, CPA)
- Experience in capital markets, including investment banking, research, and/or corporate development
- Comprehensive understanding of Nutrien's business drivers and operational activities
- Expertise in valuations and accounting, with a proven ability to assess and analyze complex financial structures and strategies
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and collaborative team environment while effectively inferfacing with all levels of management
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Advanced financial modeling expertise, focusing on capital project evaluation and entity-level financial statement forecasting, including probabilistic risk assessment techniques such as Monte Carlo Analysis
- Proficiency in utilizing AI-powered tools and applications to enhance financial analysis and reporting
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range $154,400- $286,700/annually. This range is estimated for Director, Enterprise Finance Decision Support & Long-Term Planning Loveland Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
