Reporting to the VP, NBS, the Director/Sr. Director, Data Office is responsible for overseeing the delivery of reporting services to internal customers as well as overseeing the management and governance of the organization’s master data. This role involves managing a team of analysts and developers, ensuring high-quality reporting solutions, and aligning reporting services with business needs and objectives. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and security of master data, while also implementing data governance policies and frameworks. This leader plays a critical role in optimizing data quality and supporting business decision-making processes.

 

What you will do:
 

  • Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, reporting analysts and developers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that supports the organization’s goals and objectives to simplify and focus the reporting workstream.
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and governance of master data, across multiple teams, to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Work closely with business units and IT to align master data management practices with business objectives.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of reporting services to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships/partnerships with clients, understanding their reporting needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Provide high level analytics and related insights of those analytics to relevant customer/teams.
  • Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards for all types of master data.
  • Oversee reporting projects from inception to sustainment, ensuring they meet client requirements and timelines.
  • Establish and monitor data quality metrics to ensure high standards of data accuracy and consistency.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reporting outputs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance reporting efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies related to reporting.
  • Lead change management initiatives to improve data governance and master data management practices.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve reporting services and align them with business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with IT to select and implement data management tools and technologies.

 

What you will bring:
 

  • Accounting Designation and/or bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in reporting, data analysis, or a similar role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to prioritize, proficiency in reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), knowledge of SQL, very strong interpersonal skills including relationship building, influencing, flexibility and conflict resolution, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage complexity and structure workstreams effectively, as well as work toward a visionary future state.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor the reporting and data governance teams through day-to-day tasks as well as companywide change as necessary.

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

$185,700 - $344,800. This range is estimated for Senior Director, Data OfficeLoveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process.
