Reporting to the Senior Director, Nutrien Financial Global Commercial Development, in this role you will lead financial product development strategy and execution to grow the Nutrien and Nutrien Financial business.


What you will do:

  • Lead financial product development across Nutrien Financials geographic footprint in North America and Australia, including strategy and execution
  • Deliver class leading financial solutions, integrated into and meeting and exceeding the expectations of Nutrien Retail Branch Network and growers, while delivering appropriate risk adjusted returns
  • Synthesize and simplify Nutrien Financial’s existing offerings, including terms, interest rates, operations and liquidity while balancing choice with simplicity and clarity
  • Evaluate and deliver potential financial products partnering with third parties, from utilizing third parties to augment the range of our offerings, to partnering with suppliers and other stakeholders in the agriculture space to leverage complementary interests, all with a focus on fulfilling Nutrien Financial’s mission to enable agriculture input sales
  • Integrate financing offerings into Nutrien’s digital platform
  • Lead development and enhancement of risk based pricing strategies for Nutrien Financial
  • Balance market acceptance, time to market, risk and reward in product development
  • Ensure organizational, process and systems readiness for all financial products
  • Collaborate with a wide range of colleagues in development and execution, including Retail colleagues, internal stakeholders and Nutrien leadership
  • Be responsible for product performance, with regular reporting to Nutrien Financial leadership on volumes, pricing and suggestions for improvements, enhancement, changes or withdrawal, based on market acceptance and competitiveness


What you will bring:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in financial services (required); experience working for or with captives preferred
  • A combination of strong strategic orientation, expertise in understanding marketing and customer relationships, a strong understanding of financial products and the ability to collaborate and influence across a diverse organization
  • Negotiation of financial product contracts
  • Demonstrated abilities in strategy and product development
  • Knowledge of the agriculture and/or chemical industry and economic and political factors
  • Expertise across accounting, finance, and treasury disciplines
  • Strong knowledge of the financial and credit communities
  • Ability to work as part of a solution- oriented team in unstructured and matrix environments
  • Knowledge of credit 
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills and responsiveness to clients 
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and PowerBI skills 
  • Highly organized with attention to detail, with excellent teaming and adaptability
