What You'll Do:
- Ensure completion of transactional intercompany activities within the team, such as:
- Monitor intercompany approvals and recurring charges.
- Generate and review transaction processing error reports, including ERP issues.
- Post manual entries at month end and input receivables/payables for netting and repayment activities.
- Validate payment proposal and track unpaid balances.
- Review and approve journal entries for intercompany transactions between legal entities including accounting for non-product and product transactions, management fees, and intercompany loans.
- Review consolidated intercompany balance sheet reconciliation, ensuring all variances are investigated, resolved, and accompanied by clear explanations for any discrepancies.
- Support dispute resolution with the business and serve as an escalation point for unresolved intercompany disputes.
- Collaborate in creation of standard operating procedures.
- Review and advise on terms of intercompany agreements and maintain related documents.
- Analyze and monitor intercompany foreign currency exposures.
- Identify opportunities to improve intercompany processes.
- Participate in projects as required.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations.
What You'll Bring:
- Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to embrace change and have a “process improvement” mindset.
- Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated time management skills to meet deadlines as well as flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge of IFRS is necessary.
- Knowledge of Oracle, SAP ECC, SAP S4, BPC and PeopleSoft are an asset.
- Advanced level Excel skills.
- Exhibit pro-active collaboration across finance groups to achieve cross functional success.
