Location: Note that this role can be located at any Corporate office (Calgary, Loveland Saskatoon)

 

Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Value Optimization and as a key team member in the Commercial organization, this position will be responsible for compiling information and conducting financial analysis, which will be used to identify the potential opportunities to optimize and create value across Nutrien. This will be accomplished using strong collaboration skills and analytical capabilities.  

 

What you will do:

  • Develop, update and maintain financial models
  • Perform complex and detailed financial modeling, capital investment analysis, and probabilistic simulations of potential opportunities across Nutrien  
  • Support all areas of the Enterprise Value Optimization strategy in the Commercial organization, including research, benchmarking, and opportunity evaluation through the strategic decision making
  • Take a proactive approach to the tasks at hand and respond quickly to the needs of the business
  • Communicate with tact and diplomacy, present clear and concise analytical-driven insights with the understanding of the need for confidentiality
  • Work effectively within a small, highly accountable team; display a flexible “can do” attitude and willingness to help out where required
  • Manage to deadlines on multiple projects of varying complexities
  • Be enthusiastic, curious and have a strong desire to learn

 

What you will bring:

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Enrollment in or completion of CFA designation
  • 4-5 years of experience in finance, corporate development, or consulting roles with an analytical/data focus
  • Experience with industry databases is considered an asset
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office – particularly financial modelling using Excel, and presentations in PowerPoint
