What You'll Do:
- Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models.
- Evaluating existing data systems.
- Working with business representatives, and development team to create conceptual data models and data flows.
- Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.
- Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
- Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models.
- Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.
- Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
- Troubleshooting and optimizing data systems.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Library Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience with logical and physical data modeling.
- Working knowledge of data management industry best practices such as DAMA DMBOK, CMMI DMM, EDM Council DCAM.
- At least 3 years of hands-on data governance experience.
- Proficient with data modeling tools, e.g. Idera ER/Studio or Power Designer.
- Excellent Relational database design experience and skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
