Sr. Analyst, Enterprise Capital Portfolio Reporting

Reports to the Director, Enterprise Capital Planning and Portfolio Analysis, the Sr. Analyst or Manager will provide support to the Director, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and alignment with organizational strategies and processes.

This position is open to candidates at the Sr. Analyst (band K)  or Manager (band J) level.

What you will do:

  • Support the accurate and timely delivery of Nutrien’s Enterprise monthly capital forecast report by gathering data and ensuring its integrity and reliability in financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders in the development of the consolidated annual and 5-year capital plans and to facilitate a thorough and comprehensive budgeting process.
  • Ensure alignment with strategic priorities by supporting the major projects and programs at Nutrien through preparation assistance with budgets, financial forecasts, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Uphold Capital Portfolio's compliance with Capital Governance policies by assisting in adherence to both internal standards and external regulations.
  • Assist in strategic planning initiatives and support long-term goal setting by providing support in aligning the 5-year plan with company strategies.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to support and provide assistance in using Planisware, enhancing its utilization for efficient project management, and ensuring the software supports project management activities effectively.

What you will bring:

  • Business related University Degree, preferably with a specialization in a Finance, Accounting, or Project Management.
  • 6-8 years of directly related experience in Financial Analysis or Project Governance.
  • Solid understanding of Nutrien’s business drivers and operating activities considered an asset.
  • The ability to interface with various levels of management in a multi-task, deadline orientated, team environment.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, written, and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to think broadly and approach situations with an eye towards continuous improvement.
  • Experience in forecast modeling through systems and Excel.
  • Strong Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, proficiency in Excel a must.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others in a proactive, positive and constructive manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starting attitude with a high energy level, demonstrated success in a fast-paced, and deadline driven environment.
  • Systems oriented thinking.
  • Ability to work with a variety of technological tools in an efficient manner.
  • Sound, professional judgment and subject matter expertise in relevant accounting and finance matters.
  • Highly detail oriented.
