Discover more about Nitrogen at Nutrien! An exciting co-op opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Carseland site beginning January 2025 for a 12-month term. This is a temporary, full-time position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. Carseland Nitrogen Operations is located approximately 30 minutes outside of Calgary. This postion is available for hybrid work. 

 

What you will do:

  • Design and analysis of new and upgraded mechanical components
  • Contribute to project work encompassing scope definition, tender document creation and ongoing support of contracts
  • Preform in field task support, troubleshooting, and failure analysis
  • Assist in review of Work Order packages to ensure Quality of the WO package and completion
  • Assist in ensuring that all the system completion documentation has been signed off
  • Assist in QA/QC activities of the work performed by the contractors
  • Do field walks for scoping and As-Building as needed

 

What you will bring:

  • Engineering co-op student pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering, preference is for work terms 4 and 5
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to organize, coordinate and accomplish multiple tasks
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
