An exciting summer internship opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Carseland, AB location beginning May 2024 for an approximate 4-month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Provide customer service and get hands-on practical experience with Microsoft Windows 10 or 11, and Microsoft Office
  • Assist with the disposal of unneeded PC and printer equipment
  • Provide basic PC and system technical support of computer systems including but not limited to, desktops, laptops, smartphones, printers, and video conferencing equipment and the specialized applications that run on those systems in a timely and thorough manner
  • Provides support for Office 365 and other applications used by the users
  • Participate in projects of varying complexities depending on the skills and experiences of the selected intern
  • Assists with analyzing, testing, troubleshooting, and evaluating existing network systems, such as local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system

 

What you will bring:

 

  • Currently enrolled and working toward a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related degree is preferred
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Windows 10 or 11, and standard Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting computers and Windows 10
  • Knowledge of installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, an aptitude for problem-solving, and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to complete assignments and special projects promptly
  • Ability to take direction while working under tight deadlines
