The Sample Login/Field Service Technician is responsible for collecting samples, completing field analysis, ensuring samples are delivered from the client to the laboratory for analysis, verifying and logging samples into the laboratory's LMS system, and distributing them to the proper areas of the lab. distributing them to the proper areas of the lab. Verifying sample and chain of custody forms match with sample and that the samples have been properly preserved per EPA protocols are a large part of this role. In additional they will be responsible for interacting with clients and provding customer service when necessary.

 

What you will do: 

  

  • Collect samples and conduct field analysis when required per procedures established by company.

  • Ensure sample delivery from clients to the laboratory for analysis. 

  • Oversee sample receipt, logging into internal tracking system, labeling and distribution. 

  • Evaluate samples being received to assure that they meet all EPA protocols. 

  • Record all information required for sample submittal or data upload to third party software systems. 
  • Coordinate with project managers to make certain samples are assigned the correct analyses. 

  • Assist clients who deliver samples directly to the laboratory. 

  • Communicate with remote clients when questions arise about their specific needs. 

  • Provide courier services occasionally, driving to various areas to pick up sample kits. 

  • Engage in physical labor (lifting, pulling, pushing) up to 50 lbs. 

  • Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements at various locations. 

  • Clean, maintain, troubleshoot, and program equipment. Various equipment including PH meters, sampling equipment, and mechanical equipment.  

  • Able to drive for extended periods of time (4+ hours daily). 

  • Follow instructions, pay attention to details, and adapt to an ever-changing environment.  

  • May be required to transport, maintain, and safely operate ATV‘s or UTV’s.

  • Other duties as required. 

 

What you will bring: 

  

  • High School diploma or equivalent. 

  • Have and maintain a valid driver’s license. 

  • Have and maintain a mobile phone with the ability to receive calls and texts.  

  • Previous experience with sampling activities a bonus.  

  • Previous route driving experience preferred.
