Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor, this position will be required to install and maintain high and low voltage equipment throughout the mine.
What you will do:
- Work safely in a mining environment following policies and procedures
- Inspect, repair, install and wire all electrical apparatus, devices and circuits of any voltage on site
- Participate in safety meetings and inspections, and following standard operating procedures
What you will bring:
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician license required
- Previous experience in an industrial environment would be an asset
- Positive safety behaviour and a safety mindset
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a labour intensive team environment as well as independently
- Stable work record
- Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact positively with co-workers and supervisors
- Willingness to learn and gain required knowledge and experience through training
